David Hunicke, the founder of Advanced Sonics, started, in 1992, working in the field of ultrasonics for over twenty years. His initial background came from working for Lewis Corporation located in Oxford, CT. Lewis Corporation is the leader in manufacturing custom magnetostrictive cleaning systems. David’s primary research achievements included the QTR quad frequency and how it could be leveraged in the use of raw material and fluids. This allowed for a new method of mixing on a large scale utilizing ultrasonic technology. David was world renown in the ultrasonics community due to his intense research and commitment to the study of magnetostrictive flat plate ultrasonics. Upon his passing, Advanced Sonics was acquired by UPIR LLC and is now in the process of scaling manufacturing of the dual and quad frequency reactors.
