The physical properties of the magnetostrictive transducer are unaltered over the course of time. A fluctuating magnetic field will always deliver the same peak-to-peak transducer displacement (neglecting the effects of radical changes in processing parameters). The transducer may be driven off the ideal resonant frequency and still deliver predictable performance. |
